Die DGVN lädt zusammen mit dem UN-Klimasekretariat (UNFCCC) und der Hertie School of Governance zur Präsentation der Gewinner des Momentum for Change Awards 2017 durch die UNFCCC-Generalsekretärin Patricia Espinosa ein. Im Rahmen der öffentlichen Pressekonferenz werden die 19 Projekte bekanntgegeben, die bei der anstehenden UN-Klimakonferenz in Bonn vom UN-Klimasekretariat mit dem Momentum for Change Awards 2017 ausgezeichnet werden. Anschließend werden ausgewählte Gewinner-Projekte von Vertreterinnen und Vertretern der Projekte vorgestellt.

Die Veranstaltung findet am 12. Oktober 2017 um 11:00 in der Hertie School of Governance in Berlin statt. Sie richtet sich sowohl an Journalistinnen und Journalisten als auch die interessierte Öffentlichkeit. Die Veranstaltung findet in englischer Sprache statt. Es besteht die Möglichkeit, Interviews mit der UNFCCC-Generalsekretärin, teilnehmenden Gewinnerinnen und Gewinnern und Sarah Marchildon, UN Climate Change Momentum for Change Team Lead, zu führen. The United Nations Climate Change Secretariat, the United Nations Association of Germany and the Hertie School of Governance are delighted to invite you to the Momentum for Change Awards 2017  announcement on Thursday, 12 October 2017 at the Hertie School of Governance, Berlin.

The UN Climate Change’s Momentum for Change initiativerecognises some of the most exciting and innovative global examples of solutions to combat climate change, across businesses, governments, institutions and the public.

Each year, winning Lighthouse Activities are celebrated at the United Nations Climate Change Conference. Ahead of this year’s conference, taking place in Bonn on 6-17 November, the 19 winners will be announced by Patricia Espinosa, UN Climate Change Executive Secretary and introduced byChristian Flachsland, Assistant Professor of Climate and Energy Governance, Hertie School of Governance.
