Sweden and The Netherlands UN Security Council Handover to Germany: Lessons Learned and the Road Ahead
Dear Sir or Madam,
The United Nations Association of Germany (UNA Germany) together with the United Nations Association of Sweden (UNA Sweden) and the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands are delighted to invite you to the panel discussion: Sweden and the Netherlands UNSC Handover to Germany: Lessons learned and the Road ahead.
After sharing its seat with Italy, the Netherlands joined the UNSC last year. Sweden is now nearing the end of its 2-year term. Starting from January 2019, Germany will take up its seat as a non-permanent member of the Security Council for the seventh time.
This handover offers a great opportunity to reflect on the challenges of the past two years, discuss the successes that Sweden and the Netherlands have realised, and share with Germany the lessons learned as well as the challenges ahead.
