#UNtalks - Karriere bei den Vereinten Nationen

Zu Studienbeginn scheint der Berufsstart oft in weiter Ferne. Doch spätestens wenn die Abschlussarbeit angemeldet wird, tritt die entscheidende Frage, in welche Richtung die persönliche Karriere gehen soll, in den Vordergrund. Die Vereinten Nationen stellen dabei als bedeutsame internationale Organisation einen besonders spannenden Arbeitgeber dar. Neben einer Beschäftigung in New York gibt es unzählige Möglichkeiten für die Vereinten Nationen und Ihre Ziele tätig zu werden. Unsere Expertinnen und Experten erzählen von ihren persönlichen Erfahrungen, um einen Einblick in die Berufseinstiege und -perspektiven bei den Vereinten Nationen zu geben. Sie arbeiten in unterschiedlichen Bereichen der Vereinten Nationen und haben verschiedene Werdegänge hinter sich.

Hinweise: Die Veranstaltung findet in englischer Sprache statt. Nach der Anmeldung erhalten Sie einen Link zur Veranstaltung. Darüber hinaus ist es möglich, sich über ein normales Telefon zuzuschalten. Alle Teilnehmerinnen und Teilnehmer können vor und während des Webtalks Fragen stellen.

Carmen Muñoz

Carmen currently manages UNICEF’s Talent Outreach team as a Human Resources Officer. UNICEF’s Talent Outreach team supports global offices to identify, attract and engage qualified and diverse talent to deliver results for children and young people. Prior to this role, she served as Human Resources Officer with UNICEF DHR’s Mobility and Staffing Section supporting the planning, development, and implementation of UNICEF's Global Mobility Exercise. She has thirteen years of experience in Human Resources in both Private and public sector organizations. She is a national of the Dominican Republic.

Nadia Fadavi

Nadia Fadavi is currently working as Human Resources Specialist at UNICEF Egypt Country Office. She has held prior HR roles at IFAD, WFP, the Bureau for International Organizations’ Personnel (BFIO), the Office of the Coordinator for German Personnel in International Organizations in the German Federal Foreign Office, and in the private sector. She was a CSP scholar at Joint Inspection Unit in Geneva in 2007-08. As per Nadia’s academic background, she studied European and International law and did a professional diploma in HR Management.

Christoph Baade

Christoph Baade works as a consultant for the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) where he supports the programme team of the OCHA-managed Central Emergency Response Fund (CERF), a global crisis fund that provides fast and flexible funding in response to emerging and escalating crises. In his current role as Anticipatory Action Specialist, Christoph supports the development of funding structures for humanitarian actions intended to mitigate the impact of predictable disasters such as droughts, floods and disease outbreaks. Like many “young” Germans in the UN system, Christoph initially joined CERF as an intern after being awarded a Carlo-Schmid scholarship by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). Before joining OCHA, Christoph worked for the Carter Center, an American NGO seeking to prevent and resolve conflicts, enhance freedom and democracy, and improve health. Christoph holds a master’s degree from King’s College London and a bachelor’s degree from Leuphana University of Lüneburg.

Rafael Rodrigues Radischat

Rafael currently works for the UN World Food Programme - Innovation Accelerator in Munich, Germany as a People & Protocol Consultant. Rafael is half German, half Portuguese and has worked as an intern, UN Volunteer and consultant in various UN entities across different continents. He worked at the IAEA in Vienna, at the UN Resient Coordinator's Office Cameroon as well as the UN Secretariat in New York. He has served in the Leadership Support Section and in the Protocol & Liaison Service Section, co-organizing the UN General Assembly 2021. Throughtout his early career he has developed a strong sense of devotion for the UN common system and its peace-oriented values. He holds a MSc in International Management from CEMS and from Nova School of Business & Economics.
